Maybe's babies
The Dalai Lama once asked
a team of Neuroscientists to
study meditation, and monks
have happy brains, yes. And
a single mother of two and
three jobs to feed
may meditate and still
feel need and
maybe
her babies are crying
too loud to think
and maybe
nothing is universal and
maybe that's just

ok

I heard
of a man who's body
was found in the desert
post meditation teaching
felt unworthy of salsa
dancing

and

I read
somewhere that the
Buddha was once anorexic:
living on guilt, and hopelessness
so dedicated to
nothingness they almost married

and the world was never meant for perfection
and humans will always bite the apple
because curiosity keeps hearts bloody over
metal, and do we want a metal world? Maybe

living is more than dying and
people live in pits and
choosing to pit one-
self is helpful to no-
one so how is one
to live knowing?

Are the answers birthed equal
or equated
by summation of all existing material?

Like finding some perfect center
while everything keeps moving
and the center's been the same
since the beginning
but we can't stop adding
because what else are we to do
when life is too live-able?

Make more!
So we do and maybe
our extinction will come by
the hand of our creation
so human kind may finally feel
god-like

and some devil-like, hell-like
land will surely form in the wake
of all this trying
all this fear of losing out
on something better
so always tipping the scale towards the sun

so those left in the dark will heat
each other on a shared sense of
hatred towards humans choosing
with their teeth and

maybe
we're too pointy
to love something wholy

and maybe
that's just
the point
